Aloe Semiconductor, Inc., an innovator in silicon-photonics technology, is seeking an  administrative assistant. The position will start as part time with opportunity to evolve to full time in about 12 months. Reporting to the CEO, this role will take on the general administrative duties of the office. A desire to learn and grow is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage office operations by ordering supplies and equipment
• Handle product and other package shipments
• Schedule and coordinate meetings (internal and external)
• Assist with travel arrangements, including booking flights, hotels, and transportation
• Organize and maintain company documents 
• Support financial tracking by handling basic budgeting, processing invoices, and managing expense reports
• Handle general administrative tasks

Required Qualifications:

• Proficient with computers (Microsoft Office)
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills
• Problem solving
• Basic financial skills
• Proactive working style
• Ability to work in a fast-paced start-up environment

Desired Qualifications:

• Administrative assistant experience
• Experience with laboratories
• Familiarity with technology and manufacturing
• Experience with business legal documents such as non-disclosure agreements
• Experience with general human-resource documents, such as contractor agreements
• International experience, such as booking international travel, visas, and international shipping

Benefits

This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt position with competitive compensation. 

Benefits are not provided for part-time employees. There is an opportunity for this role to transition to full-time with benefits within approximately 12 months, based on business needs and performance.
