About the Company

Boyd, Richards, Parker, Colonnelli, a civil litigation defense firm, is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney for either its Miami or West Palm Beach office. Attorneys must have Employment Practices Liability defense experience with a demonstrated interest in the field of Employment Law. The candidate must be admitted to practice in Florida and Federal Court, have litigation experience, possess strong writing skills and be comfortable proactively litigating cases from inception through trial, appearing in court, handling depositions and working in a team-oriented environment.

About the Role

Compensation will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities

• Proactively managing case load from inception to post-trial
• Attending court conferences, oral arguments, depositions, mediations, and trials
• Preparing pleadings, discovery, discovery responses, motions, and other litigation documents
• Preparing timely reports regarding case status and ongoing activities
• Ability to prioritize work-load based on deadlines
• Communicating effectively with clients, senior attorneys and paralegals
• Meeting billing requirements
• Completing tasks as assigned in a timely manner

Required Skills

• Trial experience a plus
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills
• Ability to interact with attorneys, paralegals, court personnel, opposing counsel, clients, and office staff in a professional manner
• Ability to delegate and prioritize as necessary
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Knowledge of ProLaw, iTimekeep and NetDocs a plus

Required Qualifications

Member in Good Standing of the Florida bar and admission to the Federal District Courts

Schedule: Approximately 2000 billable hours expected per year
