Job Title: Program Administrator V – Dental Programs

Rate : $30 per hour

End Date: June 30, 2026

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Dental Director for the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, the Program Administrator V is responsible for the planning, development, implementation, coordination, and oversight of community-based dental programs. This includes managing school-based dental initiatives, collaborating with external partners, overseeing program operations, and ensuring delivery of comprehensive oral health services across the county.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, and manage day-to-day operations of dental programs, including school-based services and other county-supported initiatives.
  • Coordinate with community partners such as local dental schools, safety-net dental providers, private practitioners, and oral health advocacy groups.
  • Develop and maintain referral systems to connect individuals to appropriate dental services and ensure continuity of care.
  • Conduct outreach and participate in community events to promote oral health awareness and program visibility.
  • Monitor service delivery across partners to ensure quality and efficiency; resolve service-related concerns as needed.
  • Conduct audits, evaluations, and pre-authorizations of services rendered by dental contractors.
  • Collect, analyze, and report program data to assess outcomes, support program improvement, and inform strategic planning.
  • Supervise assigned staff and support their development to ensure optimal program performance.
  • Serve as liaison between county departments and external stakeholders to support integrated and equitable dental care delivery.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of program management experience, preferably in public health or community health programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in community partnerships, healthcare coordination, and service delivery oversight.
  • Strong skills in planning and organization, time management, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to lead teams, foster collaboration, and maintain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with oral health systems and community-based healthcare initiatives is highly desirable.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• Standard hours of work Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, however evening and weekend hours will be required.

• Travel will be required.
