Job Description

Position: Chief Pilot

Location: Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

We are an ARGUS PLATINUM leading provider of tailored aircraft charter and management solutions, committed to delivering the highest standards of safety, service, and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a highly experienced and driven Chief Pilot to oversee all aspects of our Part 135 flight operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction for the Flight Department, ensuring efficient and safe day-to-day operations, including flight scheduling, dispatch, crew management, and maintenance coordination.
  • Partner closely with the Vice President, Director of Operations, and Director of Maintenance to ensure adherence to FAA regulations, internal policies, safety standards, and maintenance timelines.
  • Monitor and optimize aircraft utilization, flight planning, and crew resource management to support operational efficiency and cost control.
  • Drive the development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance safety, streamline operations, and reduce costs.
  • Ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable FARs, operational policies, and training requirements.
  • Serve as a key liaison with regulatory agencies and contribute to audits, inspections, and reporting requirements as needed.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Chief Pilot, Assistant Chief Pilot, Director of Operations, or Assistant Director of Operations under Part 121 or Part 135.
  • Active or prior jet-type rated pilot experience under Part 121 or 135 operations.
  • Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of initiative, accountability, and professional integrity.
  • Solid understanding of FAA regulations, safety management systems, and operational best practices.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed in a 24/7 operational setting.
