Sr. Control System Engineer

Location: Phoenix East Valley

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 per year

Benefits: 401k with match, Health/Vision/Dental Care, Tuition Reimbursement, PTO

Position Overview:

We’re looking for a highly motivated Controls System Engineer to join our collaborative team of Controls, Mechanical, and Software professionals . You’ll be responsible for designing and developing control systems for automated assembly and test equipment.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design control systems for various applications, including automated assembly, test equipment, and facilities control panels .
  • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical .
  • Work on systems that include PLCs, IPCs, motors, drives, sensors, and robotic integration .
  • Implement safety systems that meet ISO 13849-1 and EN 62061 standards.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers and the software team to ensure smooth system integration.
  • Perform Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and troubleshoot systems to ensure they meet performance requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and technicians on control system design and development.

What You’ll Need:

  • 5+ years of experience designing and commissioning complex industrial automation and control systems .
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in working with automation components from companies like Rockwell Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, and Cognex .
  • Strong experience with PLCs, motion control, and robotic systems .
  • Expert-level proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical for designing electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as UL508A, NFPA79, IEC, and NEC .
