Title: Controller

Location: Morritstown, NJ

Compensation: $160k to $200k Base + Bonus

Summary
We are currently working with a dynamic tech firm in the NYC area that is looking to add a Controller/Deputy CFO to their team. The firm has a startup culture with a strong client base, having been in the industry for over 30 years. The ideal candidate would have experience as a CFO/Controller/Lead Accountant in a tech, financial services, or public accounting firm with management experience. The individual will oversee multiple departments (treasury, accounting, and payroll) and work closely with the firm's CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the point of contact for external auditors
• Coordinate audits and advise/implement/create new accounting policies/processes
• Manage payroll processing, tax reporting, audits, and reconciliations
• Oversee multiple departments including treasury, accounting, and payroll
• Maintain internal books and finances
• Analyze financial transactions
• Oversee the firm's general ledger, books, and financial reporting

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or similar
• 6+ years of direct accounting experience (preferably 1 to 3 years at a public accounting firm)
• 1+ years of management experience
• Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
• GAAP knowledge, CPA preferred
• Strong written, verbal, and collaboration skills
