Job Description

Corporate Event Sales Manager

Wythe Hotel, Williamsburg, Brooklyn NY

The Opportunity

At the intersection of Brooklyn's industrial heritage and its cultural future stands Wythe Hotel - a pioneer that helped transform Williamsburg into one of the world's most dynamic neighborhoods. As we evolve with our neighborhood, we seek a Corporate Event Sales Manager who resonates with both Brooklyn’s heritage and future.

This role is for someone who sees beyond transactions to create lasting relationships with New York's most innovative people. You'll be the architect of experiences that reflect our position at the intersection of New York and the world, where a century-old factory building houses tomorrow's ideas.

Why This Role Matters

Wythe celebrates a fundamental truth: in our increasingly digital world, the moments when people gather have never been more precious. We're not just providing refuge from the digital - we're fostering environments where teams reinforce their chemistry, ideas flow freely, and the energy of being together transforms routine gatherings into defining moments.

Our clients are communities and organizations that understand their teams are more than business efficiencies - they are the inspiration and connection itself. All gatherings at the Wythe are designed to satisfy human need for connection.

You'll help forward-thinking companies create these essential moments, positioning the Wythe as their home for experiences that remind teams why they chose to work together in the first place.

What You'll Do

Strategic Business Development

  • Cultivate relationships with innovative companies that align with our neighborhood and values
  • Continue to position Wythe as the first choice for corporate gatherings that require both substance and style
  • Identify and pursue partnerships with Brooklyn's tech, creative, and cultural sectors
  • Develop deep understanding of each client's culture to create perfectly tailored proposals

Sales Excellence

  • Manage the full sales cycle with grace and precision
  • Conduct property tours that feel more personal and cultural experiences
  • Craft proposals that share our story with prospective clients
  • Consistently achieve revenue targets while maintaining our standards of discretion
  • Convert inquiries into lasting partnerships with an intuitive understanding of client needs

Cultural Ambassador

  • Represent the Wythe's position in Brooklyn's cultural landscape
  • Connect clients with our network of artists, makers, and cultural institutions
  • Understand the evolving needs of innovative companies
  • Contribute to our reputation as tastemakers in experiential hospitality

Who You Are

  • A relationship builder who creates lasting social and professional connections
  • Someone who is energized by collaboration
  • A storyteller who believes that space and experience matter
  • Culturally fluent, equally comfortable with startup founders and Fortune 500 executives
  • Detail-oriented without losing sight of the bigger picture
  • Passionate about Wythe’s role in the continued evolution of Brooklyn

Experience & Skills Required:

  • 3-5 years of luxury hotel or high-end event sales experience
  • Proven track record of meeting revenue targets in competitive markets
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and sales analytics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Valued:

  • Existing relationships within New York's corporate community
  • Experience with cultural institutions or creative industries
  • Understanding of Brooklyn's business landscape
  • Multilingual capabilities

What We Offer

Beyond competitive compensation and benefits, we offer something rarer: the opportunity to be part of a defining moment in luxury hospitality. You'll work alongside passionate professionals who believe that hotels can be more than places to sleep - they can be catalysts for culture and connection.

  • Base salary $90,000 - $100,000 plus Commission
  • Comprehensive health benefits
  • Paid Time Off
  • Ongoing professional development
  • Hotel room, Restaurant and Bar discounts
  • Access to our network of cultural partners
  • The chance to shape how discreet luxury is defined in Brooklyn

The Future

This role is positioned for growth as we expand our vision. The right candidate will have opportunities to influence our strategic direction and potentially grow into broader commercial leadership roles as we establish new standards for experiential hospitality.

To Apply : Send your resume and a note about why the Wythe's vision resonates with you. We're less interested in generic cover letters than in understanding what draws you to this particular opportunity at this particular moment.

The Wythe Hotel is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team that reflects the diversity and dynamism of Brooklyn itself.
