Software Developer – Hedge Fund (NYC, Onsite)

Full-time | Competitive salary + bonus

A multi-manager hedge fund in Midtown Manhattan is looking for a backend-focused Software Developer to support its operations, finance, and risk teams. This is an onsite role with direct exposure to senior leadership and high-impact work across the firm.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and maintain internal software systems
• Build tools to streamline workflows across non-technical teams
• Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) and containerized apps (Docker/ECS)
• Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, finance, and risk
• Write clean, efficient Python code and develop internal APIs

Requirements:

• 3+ years of Python development experience in financial services/hedge fund
• Experience with AWS, Docker, ECS, Terraform
• Strong SQL (Postgres) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB)
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-ownership environments
• Bachelor's from Top-Tier School

Nice to Have:

• Django, Redis, Celery, or Dash
• Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines
