Position Overview:  

The Food and Beverage Manager is a hands-on leader who will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage strategy across all F&B outlets at Rally, including our restaurant, café, bars, courtside food service, and special events and activations. A core focus of this role will be the launch and management of Henrietta’s, Rally’s new standalone restaurant, where the Food and Beverage Manager will lead execution, team development, and service excellence from day one. Other key responsibilities include developing and managing food and beverage programs, maintaining vendor relationships, increasing F&B revenue across the property, and ensuring alignment between front- and back-of-house teams. The ideal candidate will bring experience in restaurant, café, and bar operations, a creative approach to increasing sales, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experience. 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:  

Food & Beverage Operations: 

  • Launch Henrietta’s, the new restaurant/bar at Rally, establishing and executing all pre-opening planning, team building, and operational rollouts. 
  • Oversee all aspects of Henrietta’s daily operations, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, high service standards, and an engaging guest experience. 
  • Develop and lead revenue-generating strategies across all F&B outlets, including Henrietta’s, the café, and courtside service 
  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine operating procedures to optimize service, streamline ordering, and improve efficiency. 
  • Partner with vendors and procurement teams to negotiate contracts, manage budgets, and control costs without compromising quality. 
  • Monitor food and beverage safety compliance, ensuring adherence to health, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. 
  • Work closely with culinary and events teams to create a seamless integration between dining, courtside service, and private events. 
  • Monitor and train service and hospitality aspects relating to all FOH and BOH departments by identifying gaps, coaching and implementing new procedures. 
  • Stay current with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes to keep Rally at the forefront of F&B excellence, innovation, and compliance. 

Training & Team Development 

  • Lead, mentor, and develop FOH & BOH teams, including bartenders, servers, and hosts, fostering a culture of service excellence. 
  • Identify and implement training programs to ensure consistency in service, product knowledge, and hospitality standards. 
  • Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent, ensuring Rally’s team embodies our culture and values. 
  • Conduct refresher training sessions to reinforce best practices, drive professional growth, and enhance the guest experience. 

Leadership & Financial Performance 

  • Work with ownership to set and achieve sales and profitability targets, identifying opportunities to maximize revenue through strategic pricing, upselling, and guest engagement. 
  • Conduct P&L reviews, forecasting, and inventory management to ensure financial health and operational efficiency. 
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess service quality, cost control, and customer satisfaction, making data-driven improvements. 
  • Drive transparency, open communication, and accountability within the team, ensuring alignment with Rally’s goals. 

Guest Experience & Brand Execution 

  • Ensure every guest interaction is elevated, seamless, and memorable, with a focus on hospitality and service excellence. 
  • Analyze guest feedback and implement improvements to enhance service and satisfaction. 
  • Develop and execute marketing and promotional strategies, including special menus, seasonal offerings, and beverage programs to drive engagement. 
  • Maintain Rally’s commitment to cleanliness, safety, and brand standards, ensuring every visit feels fresh, fun, and welcoming. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience launching or opening a restaurant, with a strong understanding of pre-opening planning, team building, and operational rollouts. 
  • A seasoned leader with 7+ years of experience in food and beverage operations, preferably in high-energy, fast-paced environments. 
  • Proven experience in F&B operations with a focus on revenue generation, cost control, quality assurance, and vendor management. 
  • A hospitality-driven professional who is passionate about service, guest experience, and team development. 
  • A detail-oriented, process-driven operator who thrives on problem-solving and optimizing efficiencies. 
  • Skilled in training, coaching, and mentoring teams, with a track record of developing high-performing staff. 
  • Highly organized, excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities 
  • Financially savvy, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, P&L management, and cost control. 
  • Tech-savvy, with knowledge of POS systems, reservation platforms, and hospitality tech tools. 
  • Deep understanding of food and beverage trends, with the ability to curate creative, profitable menus and introduce unique offerings that excite guests. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong marketing acumen, including experience with F&B branding, social media campaigns, and partnership collaborations to enhance visibility and drive foot traffic. 
  • Background in event-driven hospitality, such as overseeing large-scale dining experiences, high-volume bar programs, or corporate/private event F&B execution. 
  • Expertise in coffee programs and café operations, including knowledge of specialty coffee trends, efficient barista training, and café-specific service models. 
  • Experience with beverage program development, including crafting seasonal cocktail menus, negotiating with distributors, and leading bar training programs. 
  • Certifications in hospitality management, advanced beverage training (e.g., Cicerone, Sommelier, or BarSmarts), or restaurant finance. 
  • Proficiency in hospitality tech tools, such as dynamic pricing software, data-driven inventory management, and customer engagement platforms. 
  • Multi-unit or multi-concept management experience, demonstrating the ability to oversee diverse F&B operations simultaneously.
