Director of Operations – Janitorial & Facilities Services (Sales & Growth Focus)

At Syntegra Services , we’re growing — fast — and looking for a hands-on Director of Operations who thrives in the field, knows how to lead teams, and isn’t afraid to jump into the sales game. You’ll help oversee 24/7 janitorial and soft service operations across Massachusetts, while also supporting client relationships and helping us land the next big account.

You’ll be the glue between customers, crews, and leadership — building operational strength and helping us grow smart.

What You’ll Do:

• Run the day-to-day operations for janitorial and mobile soft services across MA
• Supervise field teams and support a mix of contract work, mobile route cleaning, and special services
• Own scheduling, quality control, hiring support, and customer escalations
• Work with ownership and the VP to pursue new contracts and upsell existing clients
• Support walkthroughs, job scoping, and proposal prep — you're part of the sales engine
• Keep costs tight, teams productive, and customers happy
• Serve as a mentor and sounding board for supervisors, field leads, and account managers
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 5–7 years of experience managing janitorial/facilities teams and services
• Experience with multi-site or mobile crews is a big plus
• Strong ops background with a sales-oriented mindset — you’re comfortable in walkthroughs and proposal meetings
• Naturally organized, a great communicator, and responsive under pressure
• Based near Waltham, MA, with the ability to travel throughout the state
• Positive attitude, no micromanaging — just ownership and follow-through
