Job Description

A global engineering and manufacturing leader in heavy vehicle/equipment design, engineering, and manufacturing in the Virginia Beach, VA, area, seeks an Electrical Designer with Creo (or similar), AutoCAD, and wire harness design for vehicles or equipment.

This permanent position requires 3 days on-site per week, and the client is willing to provide relocation assistance for those outside the area. This role will pay $65-$75K+ on base salary, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create complex designs, drawings, and 3D models for heavy equipment and vehicles.
• Using AutoCAD (2D) and Creo (3D) to draft detailed drawings of assemblies/subassemblies, installations, and piece parts
• Modify designs where necessary
• Collaborate with engineers and other designers
• Apply ASME, GD&T, ISO, IEC, and other standards
• ECNs and BOMs

Qualifications:

• AAS Degree or similar non-engineering degrees
• Creo Design (or similar 3D modeling)
• AutoCAD
• Routings, Electrical box/layouts, wire harness, drawings, schematics
• Heavy Equipment, Truck/Vehicles, or similar construction mobile equipment preferred (will consider without this experience)
• US Citizen or Green Card holder (required; no sponsorship available)
• Bonus: Familiarity with Zuken E3
