The role of an Electrical Systems Specialist is invaluable in keeping our equipment running efficiently and safeguarding our reputation for excellence. We seek candidates with comprehensive knowledge of electrical frameworks and proven adeptness in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical controls and instrumentation. Operating with minimal supervision, handling responsibilities independently, and prioritizing safety are key facets of this role.

This position, onsite in Pensacola, Florida, directly reports to the Maintenance Manager within the Maintenance Department. At Cytiva, our vision is to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

Your Responsibilities:

• Installation, Upkeep, and Overhaul: Deploy, keep up, and refurbish electrical/instrumentation systems including control systems and electronic components. Execute calibration and comprehensive testing for precision and dependability. Spearhead system upgrades and amendments to boost efficiency. Offer guidance and training to colleagues on equipment maintenance.
• Proactive Maintenance and Resolution: Pinpoint and rectify system anomalies ensuring optimal performance. Conduct preventative measures to curtail disruptions and prolong machinery life. Address emergencies swiftly to mitigate production standstills. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system integrity while curbing costs.
• Documentation, Compliance, and Coordination: Keep meticulous logs of maintenance actions, comply with regulations, and forge synergies with other departments for maintenance scheduling and system revamps. Oversee spare part/tool inventory levels, ensuring resources for tasks at hand. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to maintain operational fluidity. Ensure adherence to company policies and industry benchmarks in all tasks.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Over 5 years in relevant E&I roles
• Expertise in PLC troubleshooting, program upkeep, VFD set-up, and troubleshooting is essential. Proficiency in adjusting and repairing electrical and control systems is crucial, as well as the ability to initiate and manage electrical projects.

Travel and Physical Requirements:

• Can lift and maneuver equipment up to 40lbs
• Capable of standing, squatting, and reaching over prolonged periods
• Aptitude for various industrial settings, with potential noise, heat, and confined spaces
• Flexibility to work adaptable hours, covering overtime and on-call shifts as needed.

Preferred Additional Strengths:

• An Associate's degree in Electrical or Instrumentation
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, ISA Certified, NCCER/Certified Plus, etc.)
