Job Description

We are seeking a talented Project Engineering Manager to join the team at a dynamic, reliable, and continuously expanding food & beverage manufacturer. The individual in this role will be able to work remotely with travel across New York and New England regions. In this role, you will lead and oversee engineering projects ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative projects while maintaining flexibility with remote work and periodic regional travel.

Location: Springfield, MA (hybrid w/ 50% travel)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews project proposals or plans to determine the time frame, funding limitations, and procedures for accomplishing the project.
  • Evaluates staffing requirements and allotment of available resources to various phases of projects.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within the prescribed budget.
  • Prepares project reports for management, clients, or others.
  • Confers with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
  • Coordinates project activities with activities of government regulatory or other governmental agencies.
  • Regular travel to other facilities.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, industrial, or Electrical Engineering (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 7-10 years experience in manufacturing (food, beverage, or pharma preferred)
  • 7+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience handling CapEx projects
  • Familiar with the following trades: Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Utilities, and Construction
  • Able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events
  • Analytical and Problem Solving: Works well in group problem-solving situations
  • Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Change Management: Develop workable implementation plans
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
