Financial Controller

San Francisco, California

Stable10 is working with a high-growth tech company preparing for IPO readiness. As they scale rapidly, they’re looking to bring on a Director of Accounting to lead and mature their accounting function—driving accuracy, compliance, and process optimization across the board.

This is a strategic leadership role that sits at the intersection of technical accounting, operational finance, and team development—ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations (GL, AP, AR, close cycles)
• Ensure full GAAP compliance and maintain strong internal controls
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• Own revenue recognition policies and compliance with ASC 606
• Support external audit and tax processes, ensuring SOX readiness
• Build, coach, and scale a high-performing accounting team
• Identify and implement automation and system improvements as the business grows

What You’ll Bring:

• 10+ years in accounting with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
• CPA and Big 4 Audit background preferred
• Deep understanding of GAAP and technical accounting (ASC 606)
• Experience using NetSuite (required)
• Strong cross-functional communication skills
• Proven ability to drive efficiency and build scalable processes
• Prior experience in high-growth or pre-IPO environments is a major plus
