**Now Hiring General Production Worker in Emigsville, PA** **First Shift Opportunity M-F 7a-4p** **Pay: $19/hr** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated general production workers to join our team on a contract-to-hire basis. Our company specializes in glass manufacturing, and successful candidates will be cross-trained across various areas of our production floor. **Responsibilities** + Operate the fully automated polishing machine, which involves lifting glass weighing between **25-150 pounds.** Utilize suction cup arms or team assistance for heavier glass. + Remain on your feet for an 8-hour shift performing repetitive tasks once trained. + Cross-train in additional areas including the tempering, cutting, and cleaning sections. + Remove tape from laminated glass, measure using a tape measure with accuracy up to 1/16th of an inch, and apply labels. + Assist with truck loading during downtime as necessary. **Essential Skills** + General labor experience. + Production work knowledge. + Proficiency with hand tools. + Experience in packaging and taping. + Ability to stand for the entire shift. + Capability to lift 25-100 pounds as needed. + Previous manufacturing experience is required. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in a similar manufacturing environment is preferred. **Why Work Here?** After 90 days, you are eligible for comprehensive benefits. Vision and dental benefits are covered by the company. **Work Environment** Work in a dynamic, non-temperature-controlled environment with about 15 colleagues on the floor. The tempering machine emits significant heat, reaching temperatures of up to 1,600 degrees. Casual dress is permitted, allowing shorts, but closed-toe shoes are required. The standard shift is Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with a break from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Optional overtime is available on Saturdays from 5 AM to 9 AM. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of York, PA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
