Health & Safety Manager required for leading Manufacturing Company

• Berlin, NJ
• $90,000 - $120,000 per year

The Health & Safety Manager will have the following responsibilities:

• Lead development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety programs aligned with OSHA, NFPA, and ANSI standards
• Create, review, and enforce plant safety policies and procedures
• Assign, track, and report on all regulatory and safety training across the facility
• Manage workers compensation cases including medical visits, light duty assignments, reporting, and financial forecasting
• Train employees on hazard identification, conduct audits, develop corrective actions, and monitor progress
• Oversee the health and safety budget including PPE, supplies, and first aid resources
• Prepare and present weekly and monthly safety performance reports
• Act as Medical First Responder and lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and case management
• Conduct safety reviews as part of Management of Change processes
• Support safety and compliance through additional responsibilities as assigned

The ideal Health & Safety Manager candidate will have the following skillset:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
• In-depth understanding of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA standards, and Workers Compensation regulations.
• Demonstrated success in hazard identification, incident investigation, and case management.
• Current certifications in First Aid, AED, and CPR.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Capable of working autonomously and effectively partnering with plant leadership.
• Open to occasional travel (up to 10 days per year).
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in diverse plant environments (e.g., heat, cold, noise, elevated areas).
