The Spirit of the Position:

Laz Parking is looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Denver team. The Human Resources Generalist reports to the Lead Human Resources Business Partner and supports the entire Colorado, Minnesota, North Dakota to deliver a world-class employment experience to our employees effectively. This individual is responsible for maintaining the HRIS, managing employee files, adhering to compliance regulations and policies, and other office administrative duties. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the HR Generalist will act as a liaison between the programs and initiatives originating from the Home Office and help support our operational teams' individual needs.

Responsiblities:

  • Support the new hire process for all employees.
  • Release and review new hire documents and follow up as needed to ensure timely completion.
  • Update hiring reports and keep track of the status of candidates who are in the new hire, onboarding process.
  • Answer and/or refer employee questions regarding Payroll, Benefits, PTO, Company and union Policies, etc.
  • Follow new hire workflow to ensure processes are completed according to service level agreements.
  • Respond with a sense of urgency to any questions from candidates regarding the new hire process, including logging into systems and completing forms.
  • Support in creating and maintaining physical and digital personnel files, including DOT files.
  • Create and maintain relationships with Team Members, by representing LAZ Parking’s core values.
  • Assist with administrative functions related to LAZ systems for the HR team.
  • Ensure compliance with HR laws, regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and company policies.
  • Assist in audits related to HR processes and documentation.
  • Assist in organizing and implementing employee recognition programs.
  • Contribute to fostering a positive work environment through recognition initiatives.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Contribute to HR reporting and analytics for decision-making.
  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops for employees.
  • Track employee training completion and maintain training records.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of employee surveys.
  • Summarize survey results and collaborate on action plans based on feedback.
  • Provide initial support in handling employee conflicts and disputes.
  • Escalate complex issues to the HRBP or appropriate channels.
  • Assist in organizing HR-related events, such as town halls, workshops, or seminars.
  • Coordinate logistics for HR meetings and events.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within HR administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with other departments for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for facilitating New Hire Orientation and approving all candidates for background and MVR reporting for the region.
  • Manage all leaves of absence, including FMLA and state disability leaves, in coordination with Operations, Home Office HR, and Payroll.
  • Responsible for employee maintenance in the HRIS system including processing all status changes, terminations, and labor allocations.
  • Collaborates with to ensure pay data is completed and uploaded properly and works with managers to ensure proper wage and hour compliance.

Education:

  • Associate degree preferred.

Skills:

  • Prior experience with HRIS or other HR technology is desired but not required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word, strong Internet skills using external websites.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks through to completion in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work well with team members as well as independently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage time to meet set deadlines.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy required.
  • Commitment to confidentiality required.

Experience:

  • 2-4 years administrative experience.
  • 2-4 years related HR administration experience required.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods.
