POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting customers, both in person and by telephone, to purchase product from the company. Incumbents will gather order information from the customer and/or make recommendations regarding products/materials to fulfill the customer's needs. Incumbents will also work in the warehouse pulling orders and may deliver the product. This is an entry-level inside sales position.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
•Processes product sales, including: locating specific product and pricing information on the computer, providing price quotes to customers (refers all discount inquiries to the branch manger), verifying both the customer's tax rate and purchase order information, enters orders, pulls product from the warehouse and completes the sales.
•Assists customers with non-complex product orders. Answers customers questions, receives customer inquires regarding products, recommends products that would be suitable for the customer and answers questions regarding various product lines.
•Assists delivery drivers in ensuring the accuracy of deliveries, may locate delivery addresses, assists with pulling orders for delivery, assists in loading delivery vehicles, verify truck inventories before they leave the branch and signing off on pick-tickets for accuracy.
•Assists with warehouse duties, including: monitoring/verifying inventory levels, may assit in ordering material/products as needed, may contact vendors to order inventory or request pricing information and may prepare purchase orders under supervision of the branch manager.
•Prepares deliveries of product for delivery to customers, including: pulling and counting product from warehouse, placing/securing product on pallets as necessary, loading product on delivery vehicles using forklifts and hand-loading lighter product. Properly secures product on delivery vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations.
•On an as-needed basis, deliver product, functioning as a delivery driver. Must meet the company requirements to operate company owned vehicles or drive any vehicle in the course and scope of employment.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school): or Work Equivalent
Experience:

Computer Skills:
Experience using Microsoft Office products and inventory management applications.
