Position Title: Inventory Specialist

Location – Ventura, CA

Reports to: Manager, Warehouse and Global Logistics

Compensation: 52 – 60K plus annual bonus

AVITA Medical® is a therapeutic, acute wound care company leading the development and commercialization of devices and autologous cellular therapies for skin restoration. Our FDA-approved RECELL® System technology platform treats patients with thermal burn wounds and full-thickness skin defects and is used for re-pigmentation of stable depigmented vitiligo lesions by harnessing the regenerative properties of a patient’s own skin to create Spray-On Skin™ cells.

Position Summary :

We are seeking an Inventory Specialist to manage inventory of our products and materials. The ideal candidate is energetic with a positive attitude and detail oriented to support our manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming shipments.
  • Organize and maintain inventory and non-inventory items in the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts.
  • Update inventory records in the inventory management system.
  • Coordinate with other departments to fulfill orders and manage stock levels.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks as needed.
  • Identify and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory.
  • Manage & maintain department metrics
  • Evaluate inventory discrepancies and propose corrective action plans to minimize re-occurrence
  • Perform other assigned duties by department manager or lead

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience as inventory specialist is required
  • Familiarity with inventory management software
  • Experience with barcode scanning systems
  • Ability to perform data analysis and identify trends
  • Knowledge of supply chain and logistics best practices
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to [25] lbs).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Skills:

  • Proficient in MS Office Suit (Excel, Word) - required
  • Excellent organizational skills – required
  • Lean Sigma Training - preferred
  • Familiarity with PowerBI – preferred
