Job Description

This client is an Elite Boutique Investment Bank looking to expand their leveraged finance team with experienced analysts. This group is a fast-growing strategic initiative. The team structures, markets, and negotiates a range of financing solutions including asset-based credit, secured/unsecured loans, mezzanine, and HoldCo debt. They work closely with industry teams and affiliates to support M&A deals and provide committed financing for both syndicated and private debt issuances.

Senior Analysts and Associates play a key role in executing financing transactions, gaining exposure to senior bankers and clients. The role offers strong development in financial, analytical, and communication skills, with experience across the capital structure. The team is committed to professional growth, supporting the development of a talented and expanding group of Leveraged Finance professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Work hand-in-hand with senior Leveraged Finance bankers to evaluate, pitch, and execute financing transactions across the firm's industry and other product verticals
  • Run day-to-day deal execution and project management on a range of financing transactions including credit due diligence, LBO / cash flow modeling, lender presentation creation, lender outreach and due diligence facilitation
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and research / prepare comparable financing analyses
  • Analyze business fundamentals including review of company strengths and risks, current and pro forma capitalization, and historical and projected financial performance
  • Help prepare and contribute to deal pitches including idea generation and identify, research, and analyze LBO and financing opportunities
  • Monitor and present current trends in the debt capital markets and private equity landscape

Qualifications

  • 2 - 4 years of Leveraged Finance, M&A, Financial Sponsors, or similar such roles within an investment bank
  • Bachelor's Degree (Business / Economics concentration preferred, but not required) and / or Master of Business Administration from a distinguished academic institution
  • Significant modeling and valuation experience in professional setting
  • Proven accounting, finance, and financial modeling capabilities
  • SIE Exam, Series 7, Series 79 and Series 63
