Job Description

6 months contract-to-hire position for a Junior EDI Specialist in Dallas, TX

Position Overview : We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior EDI Coordinator to support our EDI operations team. This entry-level role will focus primarily on administrative tasks related to EDI maintenance, while also providing assistance with basic EDI functions. The ideal candidate will have some exposure to EDI concepts and mapping, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily administrative tasks to support EDI operations, including monitoring, logging, and updating EDI-related records.
  • Assist with troubleshooting routine EDI errors by gathering information and escalating to senior team members when needed.
  • Support EDI maintenance tasks such as updating partner profiles, managing documentation, and verifying transaction statuses.
  • Conduct basic testing of EDI transactions under guidance.
  • Assist in maintaining EDI map libraries, including version control and documentation updates.
  • Communicate with internal teams and trading partners for follow-ups on EDI-related issues.
  • Provide general support for onboarding and maintaining trading partner connections.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferred in IT, Business, or related field).
  • Basic understanding of EDI concepts, transaction sets, and mapping.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and administrative skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and EDI software (preferred but not required).
