Job Description

A nationally recognized electrical contractor with over a century of experience is seeking a Lead Scheduler with strong Primavera P6 experience to support major, complex projects in the Houston market.

This contractor is one of the most respected electrical contractors in the U.S, with operations nationwide. They deliver large-scale electrical construction across healthcare, commercial, mission-critical, transportation, and infrastructure markets nationwide.

This role will play a critical part in planning and controlling schedules on high-value projects, including large healthcare and mission-critical work.

Position Overview

The Lead Scheduler will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing detailed project schedules for large-scale electrical construction projects in Houston. This position works closely with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to ensure schedules are accurate, realistic, and aligned with project execution strategies.

The ideal candidate has deep Primavera P6 experience and a strong understanding of electrical construction sequencing, phasing, and coordination on complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  • Support preconstruction and active construction phases with baseline and updated schedules
  • Perform schedule updates, progress tracking, and critical path analysis
  • Identify schedule risks, constraints, and recovery strategies
  • Collaborate with Project Executives, Project Managers, Superintendents, and trade partners
  • Support delay analysis, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans
  • Participate in owner, GC, and internal scheduling meetings
  • Ensure schedules align with project milestones, contractual requirements, and reporting standards

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction scheduling experience
  • Strong Primavera P6 proficiency required
  • Experience supporting large-scale electrical or MEP construction projects
  • Solid understanding of electrical construction means and methods
  • Experience with healthcare, mission-critical, or large commercial projects preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple project schedules simultaneously
