Lando is on a mission to bring great enrichment classes to every student in the US. We have built technology that empowers teachers to deliver engaging classes at scale.

About This Role

You will own the end‑to‑end design of challenges that build a student's love of learning, give parents reports, and help teachers shine. You’ll prototype fast, play‑test daily with real classes, and build systems so content quality scales as we open new sites.

Students stay with Lando for up to three years, two hours per class. There's a lot of opportunity to build challenges that keep students engaged and learn

What You’ll Do

• Design & ship content. Create, iterate, and launch new classes daily.
• Invent new frameworks. Develop repeatable content frameworks that enables new types of challenges to be spun up quickly.
• Play‑test in the wild. Run in‑person sessions with our students, gather feedback, and tune until engagement is reliable at scale.
• Delight parents. Produce concise artifacts (photos, mini‑reports, highlights) that showcase each child’s progress.
• Level‑up teachers. Build challenges and training that empowers teachers to deliver great classes.
• Explore new subjects. Pitch and prototype entirely new subject areas such as Improv with D&D, Music with Piano, and AI with Storytelling.

Must‑Haves

• Demonstrated history of designing and building engaging experiences for kids (toys, games, maker kits, camps, or similar).
• Comfort prototyping in Figma (or equivalent) and iterating rapidly from sketch to classroom‑ready.
• Hands‑on familiarity with Scratch and LEGO Spike Prime (or comparable robotics / maker platforms).
• Enthusiasm for about using AI tools to accelerate creative work.
• High agency: you set your own bar, build, test, and keep shipping without oversight.

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Prior work in game design, UX, or product that shipped to real users.
• Ability to jump into code or assets (Unity, Python, basic web) for quick tweaks.
• Experience scaling content ops or teacher‑training systems.
• A track record of designing for diverse learners.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $80k - $160k
• Equity: 0.1% - 0.5%
• Healthcare with Dental and Vision, 401(k), $5k equipment stipend
