Job Overview:

We are seeking a licensed and motivated Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in Gainesville. This position offers an excellent opportunity for newly licensed pharmacists to begin their careers in a professional and supportive environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing pharmacy technicians, patient counseling, and collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Overseeing and collaborating with a team of Registered Pharmacy Technicians.

• Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy, appropriate dosage, and absence of drug interactions

• Provide clear and accurate counseling to patients on medication use, potential side effects, and storage

• Maintain proper records of prescriptions, inventory, and patient profiles in accordance with regulatory guidelines

• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care

• Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards

• Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate storage and handling of all medications

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college or university

• Active and clear Pharmacist license in the State of Florida

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

• Basic proficiency in pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR) systems

Note: Prior work experience is not required. PharmD graduates with a valid Florida license are encouraged to apply.

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution

Clear and active Pharmacist license in the State of Florida

Note: Graduates with valid licensure are encouraged to apply. Work experience is not required.

Strong knowledge of pharmacological principles and medication safety

Excellent communication skills for patient counseling and team collaboration

Comfort with pharmacy management systems and electronic health records (EHR)

Commitment to compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
