Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a power generation facility in New Mexico. This role is critical to maintaining reliable operations by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment in a combined-cycle power plant.

What you’ll do

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical equipment, piping, valves, pumps, compressors, and turbine components
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant systems and auxiliary equipment
• Conduct inspections, measurements, and adjustments to ensure safe and efficient operations
• Fabricate, weld, and machine parts as needed for equipment repair or upgrades
• Participate in the plant’s preventive maintenance program using CMMS
• Support safety initiatives, report hazards, and follow compliance standards

What we’re looking for

• At least 4 years of experience as a power plant mechanic, millwright, or equivalent role
• Strong knowledge of pumps, valves, compressors, and turbine components
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and rigging equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems in an industrial environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
• Physical ability to climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varied shifts including weekends and holidays
