We are seeking a passionate and skilled Math Academic Support Specialist to deliver evidence-based math intervention to students in need of academic support. This is an excellent opportunity to make a direct impact through small-group and one-on-one instruction during the school day.

Key Responsibilities of the Math Academic Support Specialist:

• Analyze screening and assessment data to identify students who need math intervention
• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with evidence-based curriculum
• Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes
• Collaborate with instructional leaders, classroom teachers, and families to support student growth
• Use a range of assessment tools to inform and adjust teaching strategies
• Participate in professional development related to curriculum and academic tools
• Support additional academic initiatives as directed by leadership

Qualifications for the Math Academic Support Specialist:

• Valid Rhode Island Secondary Mathematics Teacher Certification required
• Experience differentiating math instruction for diverse learners using best practices
• Skilled in developing structured lesson plans with measurable learning outcomes
• Strong understanding of assessment-driven instruction and data analysis
• Proficiency with educational technology and online tools
• Knowledge of current math education research and intervention techniques
• Effective classroom management and student engagement skills
