Job Summary

We are looking for individual to join our client’s team as MRI Technologist. Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures perform diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. Job Description

• Verifies patient identification and physician order and performs quality MR Scans.
• Provides procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam. Acquires an accurate patient history and documents in the medical record. Places IVs as required for injection of contrast media. Performs procedures according to MR protocol.
• Ensures MRI safety form is completed by patient/designee/floor RN and reviews information with patient/designee immediately prior to patient entering MRI scanning room.
• Safely and proficiently operates MR imaging equipment and monitors patient during examination to ensure their safety while in the MR Suite.
• Performs MRI and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods for patient’s physical ability and/or limitations.
• Ensures equipment is wiped down between patients and exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.
• Uses effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participation with medical staff, management, technical and support staff.
• Accurately and efficiently uses hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules and sending information to PACS.

Skills Required

• 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level preferred
• Must be able to use GE MRI

Education/Training/Certifications

• Required associate’s degree or equivalent in related field required.

MRI:

• CRT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) – Preferred
• CRT – Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) – ARRT – Required

Radiology / Radiation Therapy:

• CRT – Radiation Therapist – ARRT – Required
• CRT – Radiographer (R) – ARRT – Required

Sonography:

• CRT – Sonographer (S) – ARRT – Required
• CRT – Sonographer (S) – ARDMS – Required
• CRT – Musculoskeletal (MSK) – ARDMS
• CRT – Vascular Technologist (VT) – ARDMS – Required

Nuclear Medicine:

• CRT – Nuclear Med Technologist (N) – ARRT – Required
• CRT – Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCB – Required

Board Registry Certification (Within 1 Year of Hire):

• CRT – Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) – ARRT
• CRT – American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Upon Hire):

• CRT – Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA – Required or
• CRT – Basic Life Support (BLS) – ARC – Required

Additional Requirements

• SHIFT/HOURS: Hours: 11p-7:30am; every other weekend
• Must have FLU vaccination, no declinations allowed.
• Physical Demands: Requires occasional lifting/carrying up to 35 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional bending, reaching, and trunk rotation, seldom sitting, squatting, driving, or forceful gripping/pinching, occasional hand/finger dexterity, and basic visual acuity and color vision.

  Pay Rate

• $62.50 per hour
