Alliance Française of San Francisco, established in 1889, is the oldest Alliance Française in the US. The organization's mission is to promote the French language and Francophone cultures, fostering collaboration with the French-speaking world and the San Francisco community. Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for a French Teacher for our classes based in San francisco CA. Th
The classes will be held in the evenings between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., with the possibility of adding some saturday classes, or afternoon private classes. Possibility of additional regular subbing for onsite or online classes .
Following the program and method from the Alliance Francaise San Francisco, the French Teacher will deliver interactive French language lessons, communicate with his/her students, and provide educational support.
The role also involves participating in teacher training.
Qualifications
• French Teaching experience required
• Fluency in French language and perfect mastering of French grammar subtilities
• Professional level in English
• Passion for French language and Francophone cultures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Master's degree in French, FLE or DAEFLE or related field
Non negotiable hourly rate depends on the type of hour or class :
PRIVATE CLASSES rate :
1-3 students, online or onsite
$30.00/teaching hour + 15 min of prep time (at $20/h) per hour (=0.25 h)
Group Classes & Workshops Online rate
4-14 students in an online class or workshop
$35.00/teaching hour + 15 min of prep time (at $20/h) per hour (=0.25 h)
Group Classes & Workshops Onsite rate
4-14 students in an ONSITE class or workshop
$40.00/teaching hour + 15 min of prep time (at $20/h) per hour (=0.25 h)
Administrative rate :
San Francisco minimum wage for trainings and /or pedagogical meetings
