Job Title: Product Engineer – AI-Powered UI/UX & Customer Experience
Location: Basking Ridge, NJ | Dallas, TX | Ashburn, VA | Boston, MA
Duration: 12 months contract
We are looking for a hands-on Product Engineer with strong expertise in UI/UX and Customer Experience (CX) who can leverage AI-driven tools and techniques to design, develop, and optimize seamless digital experiences. This role combines user-centric design, technical implementation, and the use of AI for smarter, faster, and more personalized product experiences.
NOTE: This is not a Product Manager role, we are looking for someone who builds and engineers solutions, not just manages roadmaps. Unlike a Product Manager who focuses on strategy and stakeholder coordination, this role is hands-on in design, prototyping, and front-end engineering to directly deliver user experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead AI-driven UI/UX initiatives by designing intuitive, responsive, and engaging interfaces that enhance the customer journey across all touchpoints.
Conduct user research, journey mapping, and A/B testing while using AI tools to analyze user behavior and deliver actionable insights.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to translate user needs into functional, scalable, and technically feasible product features.
Utilize AI-assisted prototyping, wireframing, and design automation tools to accelerate the product development lifecycle.
Monitor UX and CX KPIs, leveraging machine learning or AI analytics to improve personalization, engagement, and retention.
Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and frameworks to continuously optimize the digital experience.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in UI/UX engineering or front-end development with a strong focus on customer experience design.
Hands-on experience with AI-powered tools for UX research, prototyping, analytics, or personalization (e.g., Figma AI, Framer, ChatGPT, MidJourney, Hotjar, or similar).
Skilled in user research, journey mapping, usability testing, and A/B testing.
Strong front-end technical skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React) to implement and iterate on designs.
Experience working in cross-functional product teams and contributing to the full product lifecycle.
