DAY TO DAY
A private university is looking for an Assistant Professor/ Clinical Coordinator to support their Radiology Technology Program in the College of Health & Science. The Clinical Coordinator/Assistant Professor will be responsible for the clinical education, supervision, and evaluation of students assigned to the various clinical affiliates as defined by the community standards practice. This individual will coordinate, maintain, and grow Radiology Technology Students clinical education for the College of Health Sciences. This individual will support the clinical coordination across 2 cohorts, 90 students total.
Responsibilities will include the below:
• Coordinate clinical education and evaluates its effectiveness
• Contributes to teaching in the undergraduate Radiologic Technology program and maintaining current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress (1 class per semester)
• Work within Trajecsys to coordinate students clinical shifts, review daily logs and competencies performed, and add new clinical sites. Log student attendance in power campus
• Communicate with students regarding expectations, clerical work, performance, semester reviews, and attendance
• Create clinical rotations each semester
• Travel to and communicate with clinical sites to maintain current relationships
• Recruit clinical sites that complement and strengthen the clinical education
• Participate in the assessment process
• Cooperate with the program director in periodic review and revision of clinical course materials
• Correlate clinical education with didactic education
• Serve on various committees
• Must be flexible to meet the changing requirements of the department, where the scheduling of classes is aligned to meet student needs.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree in Radiology education, Health Science, or related field
• 2 years of clinical experience in Radiology technology
• AART registered
• 1 year of teaching in an accredited program
• Experience working with students in a clinical environment
• Computer Literacy/Microsoft Suite: drive, teams, outlook, Excel - be able to create charts and formulas/ Intermediate level
• Knowledge of ARRT Radiography didactic and clinical education
• Knowledge of JRC/ERT - strong knowledge on accreditation standards
• Knowledge of CDPH-RHB (California Department of Public Health - Radiologic Health Branch) - having a basic understanding of what the standards are

• Clinical experience in a hospital
COMPENSATION RANGE:
$100,000 to $110,000
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
