We are looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a leading engineering firm specializing in renewable energy and distributed energy resources (DER) . This role offers the opportunity to work on large-scale commercial and utility-scale renewable projects , including solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS)
Your Role:Provide technical leadership and design expertise for renewable DER projects, ranging from large-scale commercial to utility-scale installations.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including mechanical, structural, civil, and survey engineers.
Oversee project designs, drawings, and perform steady-state and dynamic power analyses.
Serve as a technical expert for DER projects interconnecting at both distribution and transmission levels, with capacities up to 1000 MW-ac / 2000 MWh-dc.
Work on solar PV and battery energy storage system (BESS) projects, including behind-the-meter and front-of-meter commercial and industrial installations from 100 kW-ac to 10 MW-ac.
Ensure comprehensive integration of civil, survey, structural, mechanical, and electrical/MV designs and studies.
10+ years of experience in electrical power systems.
B.S. in Electrical Engineering.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Experience with steady-state and dynamic power analyses (ETAP required; OpenDSS, PSCAD, and PSS/E are a plus).
Strong communication skills and the ability to ask questions and collaborate effectively.
Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
A detail-oriented approach with a commitment to precision and accuracy.
Passion for technology and staying up to date in the field.
Familiarity with NEC, NESC, and IEEE codes and standards.
Experience with MV and substation interconnection/protection.
PE License .
NABCEP certification.
