***THIS IS A FULL ON SITE POSITION LOCATED near the Charter Oak, CALIFORNIA Area***

USA Citizen OR USA Permanent Resident (Greencard) only due to ITAR requirements.

This position is for a highly skilled Embedded Software Engineer to develop and optimize firmware for RF power amplifiers and related communication systems . This role involves working closely with RF, hardware, and system engineers to design embedded solutions that enhance performance, efficiency, and reliability in RF amplification applications.

What you will do

• Develop firmware for RF Amplifiers
• Design and Implement State Machine on RTOS platform using C
• Implement device drivers using vendor evaluation kits
• Create an interactive GUI for external interface
• Perform System Verification and Troubleshooting of New Products
• Collaborate with Electrical/System Engineers to develop firmware requirements
• Implement multiple communication protocols (RS-232, RS-485, UART, I2C, SPI)
• Tune system performance and optimize existing state machine
• Knowledge of version control tools
• Support program design reviews and status meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor or Master degree from an accredited course of study, in, computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering or equivalent qualification.
• 5+ years of demonstrated applicable experience in embedded software development
• 5+ years of experience designing and developing software using C/C++
• Experience working in a highly collaborative environment with diverse stakeholder need
• Proficient at Visual C++ for GUI Development
• Familiarity with JIRA or other issue tracking software
• Experience programming and testing high reliability, safety critical and fault tolerance systems
• Cortex-M4 ARM processors development experience
• TCP/IP application development and embedded web development
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required typing skills.
• Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
• Must be able to sit for an extended period of time
