Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Director / Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee complex civil engineering projects from conception to completion. This role involves managing project teams, budgets, client relationships, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and technical standards. You’ll play a pivotal leadership role in delivering high-quality infrastructure, land development, and/or public works projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all phases of civil engineering projects, including planning, design, permitting, and construction support.
  • Oversee project scopes, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and project teams.
  • Review and approve engineering plans, reports, calculations, and specifications.
  • Ensure projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Prepare and present proposals, status reports, and project updates.
  • Participate in business development, including proposal writing and client presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
  • 5+ years of project management experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Project, and other industry software
  • Experience in land development, transportation, or public infrastructure projects (as applicable)
  • Need to live within a commutable distance to Franklin, TN
