Senior Financial Consultant (Fractional CFO)

The Role:  

We are seeking a Senior Financial Consultant to join our team in a fractional CFO capacity. You’ll serve as a strategic partner to clients, helping unlock value, create long-term financial clarity, and empower leadership teams with actionable insights. This is more than a numbers role—it’s about influence, systems thinking, and leading from the front. 

What You’ll Do:  

• Partner with CEOs/Founders to align financial strategy with business goals 
• Build and refine budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning models 
• Guide capital strategy, cash management, and debt/funding scenarios 
• Lead financial statement analysis and GAAP reporting improvements 
• Present insights to boards, investors, and senior leadership 
• Mentor internal finance teams and build controller-level capacity 
• Identify and implement financial systems/process improvements 
• Collaborate with COOs and HR to connect finance with operations and people 
• Help navigate inflection points such as M&A, exits, or scale-up transitions 
• Define KPIs and set up reporting frameworks that drive decision-making 
• Lead financial scenario planning to inform strategic pivots 
• Provide guidance during audits, compliance reviews, and lender interactions 
• Coach leaders on financial acumen and accountability 
• Step in as acting CFO during key transitions or restructuring periods 

What You Bring:  

• Former CFO or senior finance executive experience in $20M+ organizations 
• Consulting or fractional leadership experience preferred 
• Strong communication and boardroom presence 
• Proven ability to simplify complexity and create focus 
• Hands-on experience with financial modeling, capital planning, and GAAP reporting 
• Collaborative mindset with a knack for mentoring, coaching, and building teams 
• Comfort working in ambiguity and fast-paced growth environments 
• High EQ, strategic thinking, and a drive to make others better
