Job Description

SUMMARY OF JOB: 

Responsible for supporting assigned lenders and relationship managers in all phases of processing and servicing loans by providing administrative and operational support. This role requires a strong understanding of board policies, department guidelines, and banking regulations. The Senior Loan Assistant handles routine customer inquiries, collects documentation, prepares correspondence, and assists with loan monitoring and reporting. The position also supports relationship management throughout the life of the loan and helps identify new loan opportunities.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITES: 

1. Work directly with lenders, credit approvers, and loan operations to ensure loan documents are prepared in accordance with credit approval, documentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
2. Act as a resource for resolving complex customer service issues.
3. Ensure compliance with security and audit procedures.
4. Maintain current knowledge and follow all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.

6. Review corporate organizational documents, UCC filings, and deeds of trust.
7. Experience with attorney-prepared and LaserPro loan documents.
8. Experience in real estate closings and ability to manage multiple loan closings.
9. Provide support for documentation and servicing of both SBA and consumer loans, as needed.
10. Assist with compliance and reporting requirements related to SBA and consumer lending, when applicable.
11. Maintain current knowledge and follow all bank financial and security regulations and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required; College Degree preferred.

Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years in retail banking or financial services.

Additional experience with consumer lending or SBA lending (including working with B:Side Capital) is considered a strong asset.

Licenses/Accreditations: N/A

Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; 10-Key by touch preferred.

Other Requirements: Basic knowledge of state and federal lending laws. Strong understanding of environmental and appraisal policies.

Preferred Skills/Experience: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and priorities. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions. Ability to foster teamwork and maintain confidentiality

The applicant who is selected for this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:

• Targeted hiring range based on experience: $75,000 - $90,000 yearly. This range is an estimate based on potential employee qualifications and other considerations permitted by law under the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and Equal Pay Transparency Rules.
• Bonus Eligibility: Annual bonus based on Company Bonus Plan/Individual Performance and is at the Company Discretion.
