Job Description

Senior Software Engineer

📍 Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NYC | Full-Time | On-Site

About the Role:

This role is being managed by Talent Stack LLC, a woman-owned recruiting firm specializing in cleared and technical placements. We are proud to represent a confidential, high-growth client that is transforming the future of digital advertising at the intersection of AI, creators, and brands.

We’re seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the company’s NYC team full-time, in person. As a foundational engineer, you’ll work closely with the founders to design, build, and ship new features every week—from the first lines of code to production. You’ll own meaningful technical decisions and tackle challenges across marketplace design, multimodal content understanding with large models, and campaign optimization.

This is a rare opportunity to join early at a generational company and directly shape the future of digital advertising.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design, build, and launch new user-facing features across the full stack (React/Next.js, Python/Django, Postgres)
  • Collaborate directly with founders to drive product direction through technical decisions
  • Ship code weekly with speed and precision in a high-growth startup environment
  • Solve complex engineering problems in distributed systems, content understanding, and marketplace optimization
  • Contribute to a product-first culture where design and user experience matter deeply

What We’re Looking For

  • 5–12 years of professional software engineering experience
  • Experience building user-facing products (not just internal tools or infrastructure)
  • Strong full stack skills: React/Next.js (frontend) + Python/Django/Postgres (backend)
  • Proven track record at top tech companies (Meta, Google, Spotify, Airbnb, Pinterest) or high-growth startups with strong engineering cultures
  • Formal Computer Science degree (BS/MS) or equivalent
  • Strong product and design sense with the ability to translate polished UX into code
  • Clear evidence of career progression (promotions or increasing responsibility)
  • Must be willing to work on-site, 5 days per week in Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Nice to Have

  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems or high-performance computing
  • Background in marketplace or advertising technologies
  • Exposure to multimodal AI/ML systems

Why Join the Company?

  • Opportunity to join early at a high-growth, VC-backed startup
  • Work on cutting-edge challenges at the intersection of AI, creators, and digital advertising
  • High ownership and autonomy—your work will directly shape the product and company trajectory
  • Collaborative, product-first culture in a fast-paced startup environment

Compensation: $150K–$225K base salary + competitive equity package

On-Site Work Policy: In-person, Williamsburg, Brooklyn (no remote/hybrid)

Benefits:

comprehensive healthcare - medical, dental, and vision

401K plan

Paid lunch 3 days/week

$100 monthly allowance to spend on the company's brand clients
