Since our inception in 2007, we have been a high-growth organization dedicated to financial planning, retirement investment strategies, and Medicare advice. We pride ourselves on long-term client relationships, with a 98% retention rate since inception. We are incredibly fast-paced and growth-oriented! We are successful as a team because we lead with kindness and collaboration, and everyone is focused on the most important objective of taking care of our clients. We are a family-oriented firm, and many on our team have worked with us for years. With the pace at which we operate, we work hard to take good care of our people!
We are looking for a Staff Accountant to work closely with our CEO and CFO and to support the continued growth in both of our entities. This is a rare opportunity to expand your accounting skills into an industry with specific and unique requirements. There will be the usual tasks of QuickBooks management, monthly, quarterly, and year end duties, banking and credit card management, traditional payroll, payables, receivables, etc. Due to the nature of how advisors are compensated, a big part of this role is the coordination, reconciliation and management of advisor payouts. Additionally, there will be an element of financial planning and analysis to support leadership in their decision-making, as acquisition opportunities arise, in determining market viability, and elsewhere. We are willing to train in our industry if you bring natural curiosity, strong desire to learn, impeccable follow through abilities, and initiative. After the training and adaptation period, this role will hold a lot of responsibility and autonomy. There is a clear growth path for this role, and we are looking for the person that wants to climb that ladder with us!
You are going to be tech savvy, with advanced level skills in QuickBooks and Excel, plus a strong desire to leverage technology in every way possible. You are an adopter of change, always willing to help, and never afraid to make suggestions that may help the firm. You are naturally curious, and you are capable of identifying efficiency gaps and executing on improvement. You are proactive and able to help the company steer clear of landmines. You will have impeccable detail orientation abilities and an unwavering ability to figure things out, even with little to no direction. You are collaborative, and also have the confidence and ability to be persistent when needed.
