The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET) is a private, technical college offering education and training in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) and Information Technology (IT). Our institution is proudly Veteran-owned and operated. CBET is nationally accredited by the Accrediting Council for Continuing Education & Training (ACCET). Our training and administrative offices are located in Schertz, TX.

 

Role Description:

 

We are seeking a full-time, on-site Student Admissions Assistant to join our Student Services team. The position is located in our Schertz, TX office, hours 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, with slight flexibility for the ideal candidate. In this role, you will manage administrative tasks for the Student Services Department, including coordinating student enrollment documents, maintaining student records accurately in a Student Information Systems database, creating and completing student enrollment packets, and providing support throughout the admission process. Additionally, timely and efficient communication via email, text messaging and phone with students, offering detailed information about our educational programs, course, academic calendar, enrollment procedures, and additional college information, is priority.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Coordinate and collect student enrollment documents via email and phone.
  • Follow accreditation regulations and institutional policies, ensuring adherence to the highest ethical standards.
  • Manage time and inquiry resources to generate interest in CBET's programs.
  • Maintain accurate student enrollment and academic data in databases.
  • Interact with prospective students, guiding them through the enrollment application process and admission procedures.
  • Provide accurate information about CBET's educational programs, academic calendar, and enrollment requirements.
  • Assist other departments with data collection and problem-solving tasks.
  • Deliver friendly, professional, and timely communication with staff, students, alumni, and prospective students.
  • Manage administrative tasks, including email coordination, phone communication, and student data maintenance.

 

Key Qualifications:

 

  • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
  • Positive and professional demeanor suitable for a fast-paced office environment.
  • Type a minimum of 65 words per minute with accuracy to support documentation, reporting, and correspondence needs.
  • Preferred experience in customer service, administrative support, or student management.
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and reliability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook; experience with Student Information Systems is preferred.
  • Friendly, enthusiastic personality dedicated to and passionate about student support and higher education.
  • Ability to listen and respond positively to customer requests, including staff and students.
  • Adaptability to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines successfully.
  • Experience may be substituted with demonstrated skills and a willingness to learn; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

 

Salary and Benefits:

 

Salary range is $40,000 to $45,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits.
