Job Location

Position onsite in Tucson AZ area (near Dragoon AZ), company truck provided.

Superintendent Experience

• Mining and Drilling Operations (Blast Hole, 6299 CAT, or DM 45, or equivalent)
• Heavy Equipment Operator (CAT, Volvo, Komatsu, John Deere),

Positions Overview

• Aide in production management of team includes (3) shift leads and (100+) heavy equipment operators to support safe and efficient crushing operations.
• Assisting in contractor management to ensure compliance with project standards, safety regulations, and operational requirements.
• Overseeing and managing surface mining logistics to ensure the smooth coordination of materials, equipment, and personnel.
• Assisting in procurement activities by ensuring the timely acquisition of equipment and supplies for projects and asset management.
• Supporting the planning and execution of mine crushing setup and transport.
• Assisting with operational readiness initiatives to support project commissioning and future underground mining operations.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and cost reduction by identifying and implementing opportunities for efficiency, innovation, and best practices.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and seven (7) years related operational or maintenance experience, including supervisory or management experience, OR
• Bachelor’s degree , and (5) years related mining operational experience, including supervisory or management experience.
• Knowledge of the processes, costs, schedules, constraints and deliverables of mining operations improve safety, process efficiencies, production rates, cost controls and protection of the environment.
• Knowledge of the equipment and associated operations in a surface mine operations, moving earth
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Proficient computer skills in a Windows environment (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• MSHA Part 48
• Mine Drilling experience with Blast Hole, 6299 CAT, or DM 45
• Heavy Equipment Operator experience with CAT, Volvo, Komatsu, John Deere to include any of Loader, Excavator, Grader, Scraper, Dozer, or Haul Truck
