For over 50 years, our boutique law firm has been a trusted advisor to private wealth clients on the Westside of Los Angeles, providing sophisticated legal counsel in tax, estate, and business matters.

We are seeking an experienced Tax Controversy Attorney , preferably a current or former IRS trial attorney , to represent our high-net-worth clients in resolving complex tax disputes. In this role, you will handle all aspects of tax controversy at the administrative and litigation levels, including examinations, appeals, and collections. You will engage with federal, California, and local governmental entities.

This position offers a potential path to a shareholder role for a candidate who demonstrates long-term success and leadership within the firm.

• Salary Range: $170,000 – $300,000, depending on experience, credentials, and a transferable book of business. (Provided in compliance with SB1162; actual pay may vary based on multiple factors.)
• Collegial Work Environment: Given our firm’s emphasis on collaboration and mentorship, in-office presence is required.

Qualifications

• Active membership in the California Bar
• Proven expertise in tax controversy matters
• Strong advocacy skills in administrative and litigation settings
• Experience handling high-stakes tax disputes
