Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) | Local & Travel Contract | Annapolis, MD

We’re now hiring a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students across the Annapolis, MD region for the 2025–2026 school year. About the Role

As a DHH teacher, you will:

• Provide direct and consultative instruction to students with hearing impairments, from PreK–12.
• Design and implement IEPs tailored to communication needs and academic goals.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Promote auditory access, communication strategies, and the use of assistive technology.
• Support language development and social integration.
• Maintain compliance with IDEA, state, and district standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
• Active Maryland teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education.
• Strong knowledge of language acquisition for DHH students.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL).
• School-based experience preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Local Candidates (W-2 through Blazer Jobs)

• Hourly pay: $50–$55, based on experience.

Travel Candidates (W-2 or 1099)

• Weekly gross: $1,900–$2,000, depending on stipends and experience.
