Job Description

The Regional Territory Sales/Brand Manager is responsible for driving sales growth by implementing sales and merchandising programs for retail accounts. This role involves customizing sales programs to meet the needs of each account and managing a specific geographic area.

Travel is required to client sites, with an average of up to 3-4 nights per week. This regional role supports Boston-MA, NH, ME, NY, VT, RI, and CT customers.

This role is an individual contributor role. It is "remote" in that there's no office to report in to daily, but you are expected to be on-site visiting clients.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Planning Visits:

  • Decide how often to visit each customer.
  • Choose activities to implement at retail outlets.
  • Schedule visits to maximize impact.
  • Plan calls based on sales data from outlets.

Business Insights:

  • Use local knowledge to find opportunities.
  • Analyze program performance for future planning.
  • Monitor competitor and retailer activity.
  • Present sales data from the Head Office.
  • Educate outlets on effective category management.
  • Use business insights to strengthen sales arguments.
  • Negotiate short-term sales agreements.
  • Ensure product placement matches planograms.
  • Align product benefits with customer needs.
  • Address objections and secure commitments.
  • Ensure correct pricing and product listings.

Logistics:

  • Merchandise stock and educate store staff.
  • Place or manage top-up orders for retailers.

Performance:

  • Evaluate performance against objectives.
  • Record results in Synergy or a similar system.

Other Tasks:

  • Manage various tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; additional education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in fast moving consumer goods sales.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid commercial understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong selling skills.
  • Knowledge of Synergy (reporting & data).
  • Strong analytical skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Climb step ladders (up to 10 feet)
