Job Description

The Sales Territory Manager is part of the winning sales team that is educating healthcare professionals on our life-saving devices. This person is responsible owning the relationships within the territory to grow the business. Our sales team strives to achieve sales and profit goals within a territory while implementing short and long-term sales strategies. This role is part of a larger sales organization that is enthusiastic about the products and the impact that they have within their territory. Only the best make it at PENTAX!

Responsibilities of the Sales Territory Manager:

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales quota specific to Eastern North Carolina and Southern Virginia
  • Increase sales and market-share in traditionally under-serviced territory
  • Install new equipment and educate end-users in all aspects of the functioning, cleaning and handling of endoscopes
  • Develop relationships with key purchasing decision-makers
  • Lead and coordinate presentations and demos for KOLs
  • Develop innovative business proposals based upon customer's needs and goals analysis
  • Spearhead the development of the corporate outpatient clinics' strategy
  • Review preferred pricing contracts with other manufactures for clinic customers
  • Coordinate equipment and personnel for DDW yearly sales conference
  • Assist other sales representatives with product demos on a regular basis and serve as a resource for them whenever possible
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Pursue training and development opportunities
  • Respond promptly to customer needs; Solicit customer feedback to improve service; Respond to requests for service and assistance; Meet commitments
  • Present information potential clients

Requirements of the Sales Territory Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Must have strong, proven sales background in the medical/hospital space. Medical device experience is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable selling in a clinical environment
  • knowledge of the medical device industry and familiarity with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Effective and clear communication skills
  • Proven success in managing a sales territory and selling to all levels of an organization
  • Ability to travel regularly
