Job Description
Primary Duties
- Installation of theatrical lighting, rigging, and audio equipment, including but not limited to, low voltage wire, speakers and displays, theatrical lighting fixtures, rigging systems, curtains and track, motorized hoists, battens, and raceways.
- Complete low voltage field terminations efficiently and accurately.
- Learn basic rigging principles including proper termination techniques for wire rope.
- Work at height climbing a building structure or out of a man-lift. Must be comfortable with heights and small spaces.
- Work in shop to prepare for future installations, restock materials, and organize existing inventory and equipment.
- Work in existing or under-construction venues requiring personal protective equipment: hard hat, safety glasses, hi-vis vest, gloves, harness and fall protection, and steel toed boots. PPE excluding steel toe boots provided by Productions Unlimited.
- Become proficient with safe use of access equipment including, lift and straddle kit, scaffolding, driving scissor and boom lifts, etc.
- Safely load and drive a truck and trailer.
- Physical activities to include but not limited to lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying 50+ lbs.
- Ability to work independently and in a team is essential.
- Ability to travel out of town up to 5 days per week, with up to four nights in a hotel.
- The ability to work some overtime as necessary.
- Follow company, OSHA and site- specific safety protocols including drug testing.

- Theatrical experience not necessary but a plus.
- Experience with low voltage terminations or other electrical work is a plus and preferred.
Additional Info
- Full-time, exempt position with salary depending on experience, education, and training.
- Overtime pay for hours worked over 40 per week.
- PUI will pay for ½ of your individual health insurance eligible at the first of the month following 30 days.
- Vision care insurance is available for a weekly deduction from your pay at the first of the month following 30 days.
- Dental care insurance is available for a weekly deduction from your pay the first of the month following 30 days.

- Paid Time Off (PTO) will be provided as follows:
- Seven days paid after the first year of employment (56 hours)
- Fourteen days paid after two years employment (112 hours)
- Twenty-one days paid after five years of employment (168 hours)
- PTO not used during 12 months of employment will be paid out up to 40 hours at your standard hourly wage. You may take additional time off as unpaid vacation.
