Warehouse Operations Manager

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead daily operations, manage facility functions, oversee inventory and logistics, and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a strong leader with a collaborative mindset and a proven track record in operational excellence within a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals or manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Process Management

• Oversee all aspects of production, packaging, labeling, shipping, and receiving to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage finished goods and bulk inventory, including daily cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Investigate operational issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); review and update procedures regularly.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Sales, and Technical Support teams to resolve issues and share operational insights.
• Lead internal audits and ensure operations are aligned with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Maintain proper staffing levels across departments.

Material Requirements Planning (MRP)

• Direct all MRP activities to maintain optimal inventory levels and minimize waste.
• Coordinate with headquarters for accurate demand forecasting and planning.
• Manage logistics and compliance related to import/export operations, including permits and documentation.

Facility Oversight

• Supervise the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and facility systems.
• Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
• Support IT-related issue resolution within the facility.

Employee Leadership & Development

• Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear goals, and implement action plans for team development.
• Coach and mentor employees to build a high-performing, engaged workforce.
• Define and track departmental KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Strategic Growth & Vendor Management

• Identify opportunities for facility growth and operational expansion.
• Lead vendor negotiations and manage agreements to ensure quality service and cost-efficiency.

Health & Safety Compliance

• Lead the development and implementation of safety programs in collaboration with other departments.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies through audits, training, and ongoing monitoring.
• Provide ongoing coaching and training related to workplace safety and emergency procedures.

Regulatory & Quality Inspections

• Support and participate in regulatory inspections.
• Partner with the Quality department to compile and review daily inspection reports.

Procurement & Supplies

• Maintain facility readiness by ensuring timely procurement of equipment and supplies.
• Solicit vendor quotes, place orders, and manage purchase orders for ongoing operations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of management experience in operations, preferably in a regulated industry.
• Background in pharmaceuticals and/or experience with cGMP standards is a plus.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and compliance standards.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards; forklift certification a plus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; fluent English required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and inspire teams.
• Highly organized, with excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
