Job Description

Seeking dependable and hands-on Shipping Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing large orders for shipment, while utilizing intermediate computer skills to manage shipping logistics and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, pack, and ship large and complex orders accurately and efficiently
• Prepare shipments for various carriers, including LTL freight, ensuring proper packaging and labeling
• Utilize ERP software to review, process, and track orders
• Actively communicate with the logistics department to ensure accurate and efficient shipping schedules, order status, and special instructions
• Monitor open orders to ensure lead times and customer expectations are met
• Maintain a clean and organized shipping area
• Collaborate effectively with team members across departments to meet daily and weekly shipping goals
• Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment safely and timely
• Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

• Prior experience in shipping, logistics, and warehouse operations
• Proficient in operating a forklift; certification preferred but not required
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to read and interpret shipping documentation (packing lists, BOL’s)
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Comfortable with hands-on work and physical tasks including lifting and crating
