Job Description

Job Title: Workday/HR Systems Manager

Location: Chelsea, Manhattan, NY

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Workday/HR Systems Manager to oversee the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of our Workday HRIS platform. This role is pivotal in driving system efficiencies, enhancing HR technology processes, and ensuring seamless integration across various HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

Workday Implementation:

  • Redefined the HRIS tech stack, resulting in a cost savings of over $900K.
  • Led the successful deployment of Workday HCM, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Absence, Time Tracking, Payroll, and Scheduling across four companies (two in the U.S.).
  • Managed the scoping and development of 41 integrations and independently built three additional integrations during deployment.
  • Ensured the project was completed on time and under budget without increasing headcount.

Post Go-Live Optimization:

  • Established and led the HR Systems team, identified skills gaps, and provided training and hands-on learning to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Scoped, configured, and deployed multiple new integrations, including Ambition, BSI TaxFactory, and Compa , while customizing existing integrations such as Okta, SailPoint, and other internal systems .
  • Designed and implemented a new company structure with associated organizations, cost centers, locations, and business processes to track partner associates.

Process Automation & Optimization:

  • Mapped and optimized People Operations processes to ensure accuracy and automation.
  • Partnered with cross-functional stakeholders to integrate employee and location-based data into business processes, improving operational excellence and security while reducing reliance on third-party software, saving over $200K.
  • Configured, tested, documented, and supported the deployment of:
  • Custom Business Objects and Business Processes (BPs)
  • Job Change Templates
  • Time & Attendance Tracking
  • Anytime and Confidential Feedback Tools
  • Custom Organizations and Hierarchies
  • Bespoke Notification Templates and Onboarding Tools

Security & Reporting:

  • Developed custom security protocols to support new business process flows and enable additional system functionality.
  • Designed and implemented reporting frameworks to support workforce planning, SOX compliance, and financial management.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience managing Workday HRIS implementations and optimizations .
  • Strong understanding of Workday HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and Time Tracking modules .
  • Expertise in developing and managing HR integrations, security roles, and business processes .
  • Experience in HR systems team management, process automation, and cross-functional collaboration .
  • Proficiency in Workday reporting tools for compliance, workforce planning, and financial analysis .
