Job Title: Climbing/Rock Wall Manager (Non-Merit Benefits Eligible)
Position Type: Part-time, year-round position eligible for limited benefits.
Location: Mount Vernon Rec Center, 2017 Belle View Blvd., Alexandria, Virginia.
Pay: $24.44 - $32.59 per hour.
Job Announcement: Under the daily supervision of the Fitness Director at Mount Vernon Rec Center, the Rock Wall Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the rock-climbing wall. The Rock Wall Manager will be responsible for coordinating staffing needs with the site management team and maintaining the rock wall’s standard of operation. The Rock Wall Manager will ensure that our customers receive expert advice and exceptional service. You must have a general understanding of all service areas in the Rec Center. This position will work at least one Manager on Duty shift in the Rec Center per week. Candidates for this position must have flexible availability, be detail oriented, as well as have strong organizational, planning, and communication skills. This role requires strong customer service skills and an understanding of retail management.

Note: This position is scheduled to work a minimum 1,040 hours and no more than a maximum of 1,560 hours in a calendar year. This position is eligible to receive limited benefits, including: Medical/Vision/Dental Insurance Coverage, Flexible Spending Program, and Deferred Compensation.
