Intersport Golf’s portfolio includes the most successful first year event in PGA TOUR history, the Rocket Classic; creator of THE JOHN SHIPPEN, the first Black men’s and women’s professional invitational that awards exemptions into PGA TOUR and LPGA Tour events; founder/owner of a white glove hospitality facility called The Double Eagle Club in Augusta, GA; creator/operator of the World Champions Cup, the first global team event for the most elite players on the PGA TOUR Champions; and is the lead operator and producer of the highly coveted, NCAA Division 1 event, the Jackson T. Stephens Cup.

Intersport is seeking a talented social media professional who is passional about golf to be responsible for supporting Intersport’s Golf business including the events of the Rocket Classic, World Champions Cup, Jackson T. Stephens Cup and The John Shippen. This person will be tasked to assist in building and executing dynamic social media strategies, content development and campaigns through sourcing, engaging, creating, and posting relevant content for each event and platform (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, YouTube). Content schedules will be managed on a year-round basis and necessary travel will be required to the various events on the calendar at some of the most iconic golf venues in the world. This person will collaborate closely with internal creative and marketing professionals to ideate and optimize campaigns to drive results in each market.

Responsibilities

  • Daily management of social media channels including content creation and audience engagement
  • Develop and execute detailed content plans to implement year-round brand presence on social media
  • Report and maintain live data analytics for all channels to provide detailed analyses of progress and we work to grow our fan base
  • Interact with fans by capturing engaging content before and during tournament weeks
  • Photo and video management & organization will be required as the larger content team builds visual assets
  • Keeps and steady pulse on new social media and general culture trends and translate them into actionable campaigns
  • Ability to work long hours during event weeks. Additional trips may be needed based on various needs.
  • Understanding of photography best practices at sporting and/or golf events to establish brand compliance.
  • Creative ideation is required to continue to build brand awareness and voice the narrative of the brand story in the marketplace

Salary and Benefits

The targeted salary range for this role is: $45,000 to $60,000, depending on full-time, non-internship professional relevant experience.

This position includes medical, dental, vision, parental leave benefits and 401(k) with company match for qualified employees. This position does not include bonuses, commissions, or other incentives.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year professional, relevant, non-internship, full-time experience in a marketing role at an agency, brand, media company, sports or entertainment property, or related organization in social media management, preferably managing multiple brands and client
  • Experience developing social media playbooks and content calendars
  • Experience in developing unique, creative social media campaigns
  • Ability to quickly absorb, analyze and confidently act on large amounts of information
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and time-management skills with the ability to juggle multiple clients and priorities
  • Proven ability to deliver multi-channel social media strategies with measurable results
  • Proactive with a strong work ethic and the highest degree of ethical and professional conduct
  • Flexibility, punctuality, and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to work in multiple environments (in the office and on the golf course)
  • Mirrorless Camera / Photography Experience
  • Adobe Product Familiarity (Lightroom, Photoshop, Premier Pro)
  • Basic Video Editing Skills (For short form videos)
  • Graphic Design Experience
  • Understanding, passion and respect for the game of golf
  • From two (2) months out, up to the week of each tournament, working conditions become fast-paced, stressful and long hours will be required. Full availability during Advance Week and Tournament Week is required by all staff members. These dates will fluctuate as/if the tournament dates fluctuate.
  • Portfolio of Work: ability to provide examples of past work that showcase social media strategies, content creation, and campaign results
