Job Description

What We’re Looking For:

8+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines

INDUSTRIAL generator experience only (Small residential generator experience is NOT applicable)

Experience working with massive generators (4kW - 2000kW, some up to 2500kW)

Electrical expertise – Not just engine work, but also experience handling electrical repairs and maintenance

Bonus Skills: Experience with new unit installs, commissioning switchgear, and paralleling systems

What You’ll Do:

• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on generators at customer sites
• Diagnose and fix mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools
• Engage professionally with customers and provide excellent service
• Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including warranty claims and service reports
• Complete training on safety procedures, equipment, and company standards
• Follow all safety guidelines and report any incidents

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical and electrical repair skills
• High-voltage and low-voltage experience
• Ability to work independently on power generation products
• Technician Level II: Some relevant technician experience
• Able to perform intermediate maintenance and repair
• Some exposure to complex diagnostics, but requires limited supervision
• Technician Level III: Extensive experience in complex diagnosis and repairs
• Requires minimal to no supervision
• Can train and guide junior technicians

Education & Certifications:

• Preferred: Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician or Vocational Diploma
• Current electrical certification
• Valid driver’s license (must be 21+ years old with 3+ years of driving experience)
• DOT physical & medical card required
• 5-year clean motor vehicle record (no major violations)
